### Overview
You can view and manage your subscription at any time inside the app:
* Open **Avada Cookie Consent** from your Shopify Admin
* Click **Plans** in the left sidebar (or visit the page directly via `Apps > Avada Cookie Consent > Plans`)
All plans include **unlimited impressions** — you'll never be charged extra for traffic. The differences come down to which integrations, scanners, and compliance features you can access.

### Notes for each plan
A few important things to know before choosing a plan:
**Free**
> The Free plan does not include any third-party tracking integrations. If you use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other ad platforms, you'll need at least the **Professional** plan to ensure consent signals are passed correctly.
**Professional**
> Google requires Consent Mode V2 for ads served to users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. If you advertise in those regions, **Professional** is the minimum plan needed to stay compliant. All paid plans include a **7-day free trial** — you won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
**Advanced**
> Consent logs are required under GDPR — regulators may ask you to prove that consent was obtained, and without logs you have no defensible record. If your store serves EU/UK visitors, **Advanced** is the practical minimum for a full compliance record.
**Enterprise**
> The Checkout banner block requires a **Shopify Plus** account. If you're not on Plus, that specific feature won't be available even on the Enterprise plan — but you'll still get TCF v2.3, Hydrogen support, Auto-fit theme, and priority support.

### How to upgrade your plan
#### Step 1: Open the Plans page
* Inside the app, click **Plans** in the left sidebar
* The page shows your current plan with a clear indicator at the top
#### Step 2: Choose monthly or yearly billing
* Use the **Monthly / Yearly** toggle at the top of the page
* Selecting **Yearly** gives you a 17% discount compared to paying monthly
#### Step 3: Select your plan
* On your current plan, you'll see **Select plan** — this is the active plan indicator
* On other paid plans, click **Start 7-day FREE trial** to begin
* You'll be redirected to Shopify's billing approval screen
#### Step 4: Approve the charge in Shopify
* Review the charge details on the Shopify approval page
* Click **Approve** to confirm
Your new plan is active immediately after approval.
> **Tip:** When you upgrade mid-cycle, Shopify prorates the difference automatically — you only pay for the days remaining in the current billing period.

### Billing details
The Plans page also shows your active subscription details:

To apply a discount code:
* Find the **Discount code** field on the Plans page
* Enter the code you received and click **Apply**
* The discount appears on your next invoice
> **Note:** Discount codes are typically issued during promotions or by our support team. They cannot be combined with the yearly discount.

### Frequently Asked Questions
* **Do unlimited impressions really mean no usage charge?**
* Yes. Every plan — including Free — supports unlimited banner impressions. We don't charge per pageview or per visitor.
* **What happens to my settings if I downgrade?**
* Settings stay intact, but features that aren't in the new plan stop working. For example, if you downgrade from Advanced to Professional, scheduled scans pause and consent logs stop recording new entries (existing logs remain accessible if you re-upgrade).
* **Can I cancel anytime?**
* Yes. Uninstall the app from Shopify Admin or downgrade to the Free plan from the Plans page. Charges stop on your next billing date.
* **Is the 7-day free trial available on all paid plans?**
* Yes — Professional, Advanced, and Enterprise all include a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
* **Why is the Enterprise plan showing "Best for you"?**
* The Enterprise plan is recommended for stores that need TCF v2.3, Hydrogen support, or checkout-level consent on Shopify Plus. It's a label inside the app to highlight the most complete plan, not a different plan.

### Tips
* **Start with the trial** — Professional and Advanced both include 7-day free trials. Use the trial to confirm features like Consent Mode V2 work with your existing tracking before committing.
* **Yearly billing pays back fast** — at 17% off, the yearly plan effectively gives you 2 months free. If you've used the app for more than 3 months, yearly is almost always the better choice.
* **Check your region requirements first** — if your store sells in the EU/UK, the Professional plan is the practical minimum for Consent Mode V2. CCPA-only stores can stay on Free if they only need data sales opt-out.
