Shopify customer privacy update

Hello there! We're here to guide you through some recent changes that Shopify has made, specifically in the Customer Privacy section of the stores. You might have noticed that the settings have been moved to a new location:

With this update, you now have the power to select exactly which regions to apply the "collected after consent" rule for data collection. This is a requirement for GDPR.

Select Regions​

Step 1: Let's start by clicking on the Cookie banner section

Step 2: Once you're in the Cookie banner screen, please look for the option More actions > Use custom cookie banner

Step 3: A modal popup will appear, where Shopify recommends all regions required for GDPR. You can double-check this and then click Confirm.

Step 4: After confirming, you're free to edit these regions as you want

Please note, some stores have default selected regions. So, you might see the screen below when you click on the Cookie banner section at step 1
