Adding a New Checkout Rule

Implementing checkout rules in your Shopify store is essential for managing the customer purchasing process. This guide will walk you through the steps to access and configure these rules effectively.

Who can use this feature?

This feature is available for all users.

Step 1: Accessing the Checkout rules

First, navigate to your settings by going to Settings > Checkout > Checkout rule. Once there, select the option to Add rule.

Step 2: Selecting the Appropriate Validation

In the dropdown menu, choose AVADA ORDER LIMIT STAGING > cart-checkout-validation. This option will allow you to set specific rules for order validation during the checkout process.

Step 3: Configuring the Checkout rules

Now, it’s time to set up the rules for checkout:

  • Tick “Allow all customers to complete checkout” Select this option if you want to let all customers complete their purchases, even if they don't follow the rules you've set. This way, everyone can finish their checkout without any issues.

  • Untick “Allow all customers to complete checkout” Deselect this option if you want to make sure customers only complete their purchases if they follow the rules you've set. This ensures that the rules are strictly enforced during the checkout process, as recommended

Once you have configured the rules according to your preferences, click Save to apply the changes.

Step 4: Turn on checkout rule

After saving your settings, ensure the checkout rule is enabled. To do this, locate the switch or toggle next to the checkout rule you've just configured and turn it on

After saving, your checkout rule for cart-checkout validation should appear as follows

By following these steps, you can effectively manage your checkout process, ensuring it aligns with your business policies and customer service approach.
