Shopify Flow integration
Shopify Flow allows you to create automated workflows that connect Avada Order Limit with other apps or actions inside your Shopify store.
This integration helps you streamline operations, such as tagging orders/customers, sending notifications, or triggering marketing campaigns when a limit rule is violated.
Getting started
Before diving into automation creation, ensure you have all the necessary components in place.
Prerequisites
An active Avada Order Limit installation. If you haven't installed our app, you can get it here.
Shopify Flow enabled on your store
Any additional apps you want to integrate (e.g., email marketing, loyalty programs)
Basic Shopify flow structure
Trigger: Limit violated/reached (from Avada Order Limit)
Conditions: Rules based on limit rules
Actions: What happens when conditions are met
Setting up your Shopify flow
Step 1. Add Avada Order Limit as a Trigger
From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Shopify Flow.
Click Create workflow.
In the Trigger step, search for Avada Order Limit.
Select one of the triggers available:
Limit max reached – When customer adds to cart with limit max reached.
Limit max violated – When customer add to cart with limit max breaks.
Limit min violated – When customer add to cart with limit min breaks.

2. Add a Condition (Optional)
You can filter the workflow with conditions to ensure it only runs for specific cases. For example:
Only trigger if Rule name is "MOQ 20".
Only trigger for Product starts with "Sample".

3. Add an Action
Once the trigger and conditions are set, choose what happens next. Actions can be any additional apps you want to integrate (e.g., email marketing, loyalty programs, customer tagging...)
Tag order or customer (e.g., add tag
LimitViolated).Send internal notification (e.g., Slack, email, SMS).
Start a marketing flow (e.g., in Klaviyo or Omnisend).
Update customer record for segmentation.
4. Turn on the Workflow
Click Turn on the workflow in Shopify Flow.
Test by violating a limit rule in your storefront to confirm the workflow is triggered.
Manage the Connection with Shopify Flow
You can check and manage the connection from Avada Order Limit > Integration > Shopify Flow. For a workflow to run properly, two conditions must be met:
The workflow is active in Shopify Flow.
The integration is connected in Avada Order Limit as below
