This guide explains the key metrics and sections on your LUNA Appointment Booking dashboard, helping you monitor performance and grow your booking business with confidence.

Overview

The LUNA dashboard gives you a real-time snapshot of your booking activity. It highlights essential metrics so you can quickly understand how your services are performing and make informed, data-driven decisions.

Below is a breakdown of each section you’ll see on the dashboard.

Theme Store App Embed

This indicator shows whether LUNA Appointment Booking is properly enabled in your Shopify theme.

How to manage it:

  • Click App embed settings to open the Shopify theme editor.

  • In the App embeds section, toggle LUNA Booking App on or off.

Important: The app embed must be enabled for booking features to appear on your storefront. This is a one-time setup completed during initial installation.

Setup Guide

The Setup Guide helps you track progress as you configure LUNA’s core features.

What you’ll see:

  • A progress bar showing completion status (for example: 3 of 3 tasks completed)

Three essential setup tasks

  1. Set up your first service Create bookable appointments, classes, or events with duration, capacity, and availability settings.

  2. Set up business hours Define your working days, operating hours, breaks, and closures.

  3. Add the “Schedule” button to your storefront Place the booking interface on product pages so customers can book directly.

Status indicators:

  • ✓ Completed

  • ○ Not completed

To continue setup, click any incomplete task.

Total Scheduled Appointments

This metric shows the total number of appointments booked through your store since you started using LUNA.

What’s included:

  • All confirmed appointments

  • Both past and upcoming bookings

Why it matters:

  • Helps you understand overall booking volume

  • Shows how customers are engaging with your services over time

Lifetime Revenue

Lifetime Revenue represents the total value generated from all bookings over the lifetime of your business.

Calculation:

Lifetime Revenue = Total booking sales − Discounts − Refunds

This metric gives you a high-level view of how much revenue your appointment bookings have generated.

Note: This figure reflects gross booking revenue. For full financial details, including taxes and fees, refer to your Shopify reports.

Appointments and Revenue Metrics

Track your booking performance across different time periods and compare trends over time.

Time period selector

  • Choose a time range: Last 7 days or Last 30 days

  • Click Reload to refresh the data

Appointments

Shows the total number of appointments booked during the selected time period.

Displayed information:

  • Total appointment count

  • Percentage change compared to the previous period

How to read the trend:

  • +X%: More bookings than the previous period (growing demand)

  • −X%: Fewer bookings than the previous period (may require promotion or adjustments)

  • 0%: Stable booking volume

Revenue

Shows the total revenue generated from bookings during the selected time period.

Calculation:

Revenue = Booking sales − Discounts − Refunds

Displayed information:

  • Total revenue amount

  • Percentage change compared to the previous period

Common use cases:

  • Track weekly or monthly performance

  • Compare different time periods

  • Identify seasonal trends

  • Measure growth over time

Tip: Switch between 7-day and 30-day views to analyze short-term results or longer-term trends.

Upcoming Appointments

This section lists all confirmed appointments scheduled for future dates.

What you’ll see:

  • Customer name and contact details

  • Booked service

  • Appointment date and time

  • Booking status

If there are no upcoming bookings, you’ll see:

No upcoming appointments to display

The Helpdesk gives you quick access to support and resources.

Available options:

  • 24/7 live chat: Click Chat with us for real-time support
