How to Access

1. Go to Courses
2. Click Create course at the top right
3. The Create course form appears at /app/courses/new

Page Sections

Course details

Basic information shown to students on the storefront and in emails. Best for: every course — these fields are the foundation.

• Title — required, 1 to 200 characters
• Description — rich text; supports headings, lists, images, and links; up to 50,000 characters
• Thumbnail — 16:9 image; recommended 1280×720; JPG, PNG, or WebP; up to 10 MB

Shopify Product

The product customers buy to enroll in the course. Best for: paid courses with Private visibility.

• Click Link Product to choose from your Shopify catalog
• Price, name, and main image are pulled from the Shopify Product
• You can change or remove the link until the first student enrolls

Curriculum

The learning content organized in two levels: Module → Lesson. Best for: structuring content into chapters and individual learning units.

• Click + Add module to create a chapter
• Click + Add lesson inside a module to create a learning unit
• Drag and drop modules and lessons to reorder them

Access & Visibility

The mode that controls who can see and enroll in the course. Best for: every course — choose Open for free, Private for paid.

• Open — any logged-in customer can access for free; no Shopify Product required
• Private (default) — only customers who purchased the linked Shopify Product can access; a linked product is required before publishing

Creating a Course

1. Click Create course on the Courses page
2. Fill in the Course details card
3. Link a Shopify Product if the course will be sold
4. Add at least one module and one lesson in the Curriculum section
5. Choose Open or Private in the Access & Visibility card
6. Click Save to keep the course as a Draft, or Publish to make it live

Important Rules

• A course is saved as Draft until you click Publish
• Private courses require a linked Shopify Product before they can be published
• After the first student enrolls, the linked Shopify Product cannot be changed or removed
• The price of a course is always managed in Shopify, not in the app
• Unsaved changes trigger a warning if you try to leave the page
• Switching from Private to Open keeps existing enrollments untouched; new visitors get free access
• Switching from Open to Private does not remove existing students; only new visitors will need to purchase
