App Embed Status
The App Embed Status section helps you verify and manage whether the Avada Accessibility widget is active on your Shopify theme.
When to Check
You should check the app embed status in these situations:
- After first installing the Avada Accessibility app.
- After switching to a different Shopify theme.
- After duplicating your theme.
- When the accessibility widget disappears from your storefront.
Anatomy
The App Embed Status section contains the following elements:

| Theme dropdown | Select which theme to check the embed status for. |
| Status badge | Shows On (green) or Off (red) to indicate if the embed is active. |
| Refresh button | Refresh the status after making changes in the theme editor. |
| Open Theme Editor | Direct link to open your Shopify Theme Editor where you can toggle the embed. |
How to Enable the App Embed
Step 1: Select your theme
Use the theme dropdown to select the theme you want to check. If you have multiple themes, make sure to select the one that is currently published (live).
Step 2: Read the status
Check the status badge. If it shows Off, the accessibility widget is not active on that theme.
Step 3: Turn on the app embed
Click Open Theme Editor to open the Shopify Theme Editor. In the editor:
- Click App embeds in the left sidebar.
- Find Avada Accessibility in the list.
- Toggle it On.
- Click Save in the top right corner of the theme editor.
You must click Save in the Shopify Theme Editor for the change to take effect. Simply toggling the embed on without saving will not activate it.
Step 4: Refresh to confirm
Go back to the Avada Accessibility app and click the Refresh button. The status badge should now show On.
The app embed is per-theme. If you have multiple themes, you need to enable the embed separately for each theme where you want the accessibility widget to appear.
