Retention policy
Retention is how long Avada Backups & Restore keeps each snapshot before it's automatically deleted to free up space.
How long backups are kept
Every snapshot — whether manual or scheduled — is retained for up to 3 years (1,095 days). After that, the oldest snapshots are removed automatically.
You can always see your current retention window and storage usage in Settings → Backup schedule and on the Dashboard.
What this means for you
- You can roll back to any point within the retention window.
- Deleting a backup manually removes it immediately, ahead of the retention window.
- Pausing your schedule does not delete existing snapshots — they're kept for the full retention period.
