Notifications
Choose who gets notified about backup activity, and on which channels.
Channels

Recipients
Add up to 5 email addresses (comma-separated). The store owner email is included by default and cannot be removed.
To send notifications to a Slack channel:
Create a Slack incoming webhook
Create an incoming webhook (opens in a new tab) in your Slack workspace.
Paste the webhook URL
Paste the webhook URL into the Slack webhook field.
Click Test
Click Test to send a sample message and verify the integration.

💡 Backup succeeded is off by default to avoid email noise. Turn it on if you want a daily confirmation that backups are running.
Notification frequency
To prevent flooding your inbox during outages, Avada Backups & Restore automatically throttles repeated failures:
- 1st failure → email sent immediately
- 2nd–10th failure within 1 hour → batched into a single hourly digest
- 11th+ failure → 1 alert per 6 hours until backups recover
Throttling resets once a backup succeeds.
