Selective restore

A selective restore brings back only the data types you choose from a snapshot, instead of the whole store. Use it when the problem is contained — for example, restore only Products after a bad bulk edit, while leaving your theme and pages untouched.

How it works

Selective restore is scoped by data type, not by individual item. You pick which of the snapshot's data types to restore (Products, Collections, Themes, and so on), and the app restores all items of those types.

Run a selective restore

Open a backup

From the Backups list, open the snapshot and click Restore from this backup.

Choose Granular restore

In the restore options, switch from Full restore to the granular / selective option.

Select the data types

Check the data types you want to restore. Use Select all to toggle them together. Only the checked types will be touched — everything else stays as it is now.

Set restore options

Choose how the restore runs — overwrite existing, restore metafields, and how to handle themes (create a new theme or overwrite). Turn on Back up first to snapshot your current store before restoring.

Preview and confirm

Review the preview, type RESTORE to confirm, and click Restore now. Progress shows live, broken down by data type.

💡 Need to restore just one product or one page? Restore the Products or Pages type into a new theme / draft where possible and copy the single item across, or contact [email protected] — item-by-item restore isn't available in the app today.
