Multi-store
Manage backups for multiple Shopify stores from a single Avada Backups & Restore account. Useful for agencies, holding companies, and merchants running regional storefronts.
Connecting another store
Click Add store
From the Multi-store page, click Add store.
Install on the new store
You're redirected to Shopify to install Avada Backups & Restore on the new store.
Confirm in the store list
After installing, the store appears in your store list.
💡 Each store needs Avada Backups & Restore installed and authorized separately — Shopify does not allow one app install to access multiple stores.
Store list
Each row shows:
- Store domain
- Plan
- Last backup status
- Storage used vs. plan limit
- Quick actions: Open, Settings, Disconnect
Click Open to switch into that store's dashboard. Avada Backups & Restore remembers the last store you opened, so refreshing returns you to the same context.
Per-store settings
Each store has its own:
- Backup schedule
- Notification recipients
- Webhook endpoints
- Retention policy
- Storage quota
There are no shared settings across stores — every store is treated as a fully independent Avada Backups & Restore install.
Cross-store restore
You can restore a backup only into the store it was taken from. Restoring a backup from Store A into Store B is not supported, since theme assets, product IDs, and metafield definitions are scoped per store.
If you need to copy data between stores (e.g. cloning a theme from staging to production), use the Export feature instead — see Backup types.
Plans and billing
Each connected store is billed separately. Avada Backups & Restore does not offer a single bill across multiple stores — each store's plan is managed via the Shopify Billing API on that store.

Disconnecting a store
Click Disconnect on the store row, or uninstall the app from the store's Shopify admin. Both actions:
- Stop scheduled backups
- Remove the store from your store list
- Begin the 30-day data retention countdown
To restore access, reinstall the app on the store. Backups created before disconnect are still available within the 30-day grace period.
