Quick start
This guide walks you through making your store faster in three steps — audit your speed, compress your images, then run Speed up. The whole process takes just a few minutes.
Step 1: Run a Speed Audit
Open the app and go to Speed Audit to see where your store stands today.
- Check your Speed Score (Mobile / Desktop)
- Review your Core Web Vitals: FCP, LCP, TBT, CLS
- See the list of issues dragging your store down — each one links to the fix
This is your baseline before optimization.
Step 2: Compress your images
Large images are usually the biggest reason a store loads slowly. Go to Image optimizer → Compression.
- Choose a compression level — Automatic (recommended) keeps photos sharp while cutting file size.
- Click "Optimize now" and pick how much to run:
- Optimize all — recompress every image in your store.
- Optimize unoptimized — only images not processed yet. Faster, and saves quota.
- Or click Optimize manually to pick specific images by hand.
- Track the progress on the page.
Step 3: Speed up your store
Go to Speed up to optimize your theme code, scripts, and loading.
- Turn on the optimizations you want — lazy load, font swap, instant page, minify CSS & JS, and more. Each one targets a common speed problem.
- Click "Speed up now" and pick a theme to apply the optimizations (use a theme duplicate to keep your live store safe).
- Preview and publish when you're happy with the result.
Step 4: Prefer hands-off? Try Speed expert
On the Expert plan, you don't have to do any of this yourself — a dedicated speed specialist optimizes your store for you:
- Upgrade to Expert from the Subscription page.
- Your specialist works on a copy of your theme, so your live store stays untouched.
- Review the before/after speed report and approve to publish.
See Speed expert for the full service.
Done!
Your store is now faster. Head back to the Dashboard anytime to see your improvement — click Rescan to refresh your Speed Score.
