What is Speed request?
Speed request is the easy way to get a real specialist from Avada to speed up your store for you — no technical work on your side.
You submit a request, our speed expert audits and optimizes your store, and you get an optimized “After” score to compare against where you started. Every plan below Expert can try this once for free.
It's the same hands-on optimization as Speed expert, offered as a one-time trial so you can see the difference before committing.

⚙️ How to use Speed request
Step 1: Open Speed request
Go to Speed request in the Avada Speed menu. At the top you'll see your current store score, the current queue, and a short How it works summary.
Step 2: Submit your request
Click Submit a request. A short form opens with:
- Your store URL — filled in automatically.
- Current score — your live Mobile and Desktop scores (hover to Rescan if you want fresh numbers).
- Note for expert (optional) — tell us what to focus on, e.g. “Product pages load slowly on mobile, most traffic from the US.”
- Give our experts access to optimize your store — tick this to continue. Our team reaches out right after you submit to set up access safely.
Click Submit. You'll be taken to your request's detail page.
Step 3: Track your request in the queue
Your request appears in the list with a status badge:
- Pending — in the queue, with your current position shown.
- Doing — your specialist is actively optimizing your store.
- Completed — the work is done and your optimized score is ready.
You can also follow recently completed requests from other stores in the Testimonials section to see the kind of results to expect.
Step 4: Review your before/after score
When your request is Completed, your store score card shows your Before and After numbers side by side, plus a link to test the improved speed on your store.
Step 5: Keep your speed boost live
Your free trial keeps the optimized result live for a short window. To keep it running for your shoppers permanently — and to request more optimizations any time — upgrade to Expert from the banner or the Subscription page.
If you don't upgrade before the trial ends, your store simply returns to its previous speed. Nothing is locked, and you can upgrade later to turn the optimizations back on.
📌 Merchant Notes
- You can have one request in progress at a time — wait for it to complete before submitting another.
- Speed request works on real stores only — Shopify development/test stores aren't supported.
- Each completed request includes a before/after speed score so you can measure the impact.
