What the app found on your ad account
The top of the guide shows what the app saw on your connected ad account:

The app can't see whether another app also sends purchase events, or whether OpenAI's app is installed. Neither OpenAI nor Shopify tells it. Check your installed apps in Shopify.
What both apps can do
OpenAI's own ChatGPT app for Shopify and this app can both reach the same parts of your ad account:
- Send your product catalog to OpenAI as a product feed.
- Send purchases and other shopper events to OpenAI from your storefront and checkout.
- Work with the same ChatGPT Ads account, where each feed and each event counts separately.
How to avoid sending things twice
OpenAI keeps the first event it receives with a given ID. Two apps use different IDs, so OpenAI can't tell their events apart.
- Pick one app to send purchase events. Turn the pixel and the Conversions API off in the other.
- Pick one product feed for your campaigns. Two feeds with the same products list them twice.
- If you keep this app's feed, remove the other app's feed in Ads Manager, or uninstall the other app.
- If you run both on purpose, snooze the "managed by Shopify" alert so it doesn't email you again. See Alerts.
What this app adds

FAQs
Can I run both apps at the same time?
Yes, but pick one app for purchase events and one product feed for your campaigns. Otherwise OpenAI can count the same purchase twice and list the same products twice.
Will I lose my campaigns if I switch apps?
No. Campaigns live in your ad account, not in the app, so they stay either way.
