Sync Videos by Hashtag
Shopvid lets you pull in videos from TikTok or Instagram using a hashtag — either as a one-time manual import or on an automatic recurring schedule. This is useful for sourcing UGC content without manually searching for each video.
Prerequisites
- You have connected at least one TikTok or Instagram account in Video Library
- You have confirmed you hold the necessary rights to use the videos
Manual Import by Hashtag
Step 1: Open Video Library
In the Shopvid sidebar, click Video Library and go to the TikTok or Instagram tab.
Step 2: Add video by hashtag
Click Add video → select Use hashtag.
Step 3: Enter the hashtag
In the Add new videos by TikTok hashtag (or Instagram) modal, enter a hashtag in the #hashtag field. Tick the confirmation checkbox to confirm you have the rights to use the content, then click Import.
Step 4: Select and import videos
Shopvid fetches matching videos. Select the ones you want to add to your library, then confirm.
Auto-Sync by Hashtag
Step 1: Open Auto-sync settings
In Video Library, click Auto-sync (or go to the Manage auto-sync section). Switch to the Hashtag tab, then click Add hashtag.
Step 2: Set up the sync schedule
Enter the hashtag in the #hashtag field. Under Sync schedule, choose how often to sync: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Set the preferred day and time, then click Add.
Step 3: Confirm auto-sync is active
The hashtag appears in the Hashtag tab with its schedule and last sync time. Shopvid will automatically import up to 30 new videos per session on the configured schedule.
Tips
- Each auto-sync session imports a maximum of 30 latest videos from the hashtag
- Check Sync history on each row to see how many videos were imported or skipped per session
- To stop auto-sync for a hashtag, click Delete on its row — this won't remove already-imported videos
- Use the Auto-sync filter in Video Library to see which videos were synced automatically vs. manually added
