Sessions & Pricing (Bundle)

Sessions & Pricing (Bundle)

Overview

Sell a service as a bundle — customers pre-pay for a set number of sessions at a discount, then book them one at a time whenever they like. Good for class packs, memberships, or any repeat service.

Bundles aren't sold on a separate product page — they're offered right alongside the regular booking flow on the service's own product page.

How to Set It Up

  1. Go to Services
  2. Create or edit a service
  3. Switch to the Sessions & Pricing tab
  4. Toggle "Sell this service as a bundle" ON — when on, customers see a "Save with bundles" promo card on the product page alongside the regular Schedule button

Once enabled, configure:

Number of sessions

Sessions per bundle — how many sessions customers get for the price.

Validity

Validity days — customers must redeem all sessions within this many days of purchase (default raised to a higher value than the old 90-day default, capped at 365). Unused sessions expire and are not refundable.

Pricing mode

  • Discount — a percentage off the variant's base price. Turn off "Apply same discount to all variants" to set a different discount per variant.
  • Fixed price — set one bundle price regardless of the variant's base price.

Variants & bundle pricing

If the service has multiple product variants, a table shows each variant's base price, bundle price, and savings. Only variants linked in General settings appear here — use Edit Service variants to change which ones are linked.

On save, this syncs to Shopify as one product with one variant per base variant (one bundle tier per variant).

How Customers Buy One

  1. Customer opens the service's product page and sees the "Save with bundles" promo card next to the normal Schedule button
  2. Tapping it opens a popup with the bundle's sessions, price, and savings
  3. Customer confirms → they're redirected to standard Shopify checkout to pay (a normal Shopify order, not the appointment-booking flow)

No time slot is picked at purchase — a bundle is bought first, sessions get booked later.

Once the order is paid, the customer gets a confirmation email with a link to book their first session.

There's currently no way to view a customer's bundle purchases from the admin — the Customers area doesn't show bundle history yet.

How Customers Redeem Sessions

  1. Customer opens the personal booking link from their email — no store login needed
  2. On that page, they pick a date and time like any normal booking
  3. Confirming the booking uses up one session from their bundle — no payment is charged, since they already paid upfront

The same link is re-sent whenever a session is restored (e.g. after a cancelled appointment gives a session back) and in reminder emails while sessions remain unused, so the customer always has a way back in.

  • Once all sessions are used, the bundle is complete — no more bookings can be made against it
  • If the validity period passes with unused sessions, those sessions expire and aren't refunded automatically

Cancel & Refund

Customers can cancel an entire bundle purchase and get refunded, if you allow it — but only before they've redeemed any sessions.

Settings → General → Booking Policy

SettingDefaultNotes
Allow customers to cancel their bundleLets customers cancel their bundle via the link in their confirmation email
Cancel window24 hoursHow long after purchase a customer can still cancel
Refund policyFull refund — refunds only the bundle purchase, not the customer's entire order. No refund — customer keeps the charge, nothing is refunded

To cancel, the customer opens the "Cancel bundle" link from their confirmation (or reminder) email. If they're still within the cancel window and no sessions have been redeemed yet, they can confirm the cancellation — which refunds them through Shopify if Full refund is on.

Once even one session has been redeemed, the bundle can no longer be cancelled — only the remaining, unused sessions stay on it.

Cancelling a single booked session works differently: if a customer or you cancel one appointment that was booked using a bundle session, no money moves — the session is simply returned to the bundle so it can be booked again. Only cancelling the whole bundle triggers a refund.
