How to verify site on various web management tools

What is ownership verification?

Ownership verification means proving to Search Console that you own a specific website. A verified owner has the highest degree of permissions (opens in a new tab) in Search Console.

Why do I need to verify ownership?

Site owners in Search Console have access to sensitive Google Search information about a site. Site owners can also perform actions that can affect a site's presence and behavior on Google Search and other Google services. Because of this, we want to make sure that only a real site owner is granted owner permissions on Search Console.

Avada SEO Suite helps you to verify your store's ownership on popular web management tools such as Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Pinterest, Yandex Webmaster Tools, Baidu Webmaster Tools, Alexa Certify Javascript, and Norton Safe Web.

1. In "Site verification" tab in menu, select which web management tool you want to verify your ownership
2. Fill in suitable meta tag
3. Click Save to start verifying your site

Google Search Console

1. Sign in your Google search console (opens in a new tab)

   

2. Select HTML tag -> Click Copy meta tag

3. Get back to Avada SEO Suite and paste meta tag

4. Click Save

5. Get back to Google search console and click Verify

   

Bing Webmaster Tools

1. Sign in Bing Webmaster tool (opens in a new tab)
2. In "Add a site", fill in your website URL -> click Add
3. Copy meta tag
4. Get back to Avada SEO Suite and paste meta tag -> Click Save
5. Get back to Bing Webmaster tool and click Verify

Pinterest

1. Go to Pinterest Claim your website (opens in a new tab) to sign in or register for a Pinterest account

2. Click on Setting -> Go to Claim

3. Fill in your website link and click Claim

   

4. Select Add HTML tag

5. Copy the meta tag

   

6. Get back to Avada SEO Suite and Paste it

   

7. Click Save

8. Get back to Pinterest -> click Next and wait for your page to be verified.

Yandex Webmaster Tools

1. Go to Yandex (opens in a new tab)
2. Sign in or register for an account
3. Click Setting -> add your Site Address -> click Add
4. Copy the meta tag and paste it into Avada SEO Suite -> click Save
5. Click Verify now to verify your page

Baidu

1. To register for a Baidu account for foreigners, please click here (opens in a new tab)
2. To get the verification, please follow the steps here. Please note that you should choose the HTML Tag Verification method.
3. Copy the meta tag and paste it into the Baidu Webmaster Tools field of Avada SEO Suite
4. Click Save
5. Click to verify your page.

Alexa Certify Javascript

1. Go to Alexa (opens in a new tab) and sign in
2. Follow this guide (opens in a new tab) to get your meta tag
3. Copy and paste in to Avada SEO Suite
4. Click Save

Norton Safe web

1. Go to Norton Submission Portal (opens in a new tab)
2. Click My profile -> Site dispute -> Add site
3. Enter your site's URL and click Submit
4. Copy the meta tag and paste it into the Avada SEO Suite
5. Click Save
