Email Notifications
The Notifications card — the last card in Settings. Controls when you get an email about a customer change. Customer-facing emails are unaffected — Shopify still sends its own confirmation/cancellation emails.

The two modes
| Option (as labelled in the app) | What you get emailed about |
|---|---|
| Email me for all changes | Every edit (address, note, items) and every cancellation. |
| Email me only when an order is canceled | Only cancellations. Edits are silent. |
Pick only when an order is canceled if you ignore address-change emails — cancellations have an action attached (check stock, follow up), edits usually don't.
Hybrid delivery — no email spam
Even in all events mode, we do not email you for every save. Two rules:
- Cancellations email immediately. Always. Across both modes.
- Edit events are batched per session. One email per session, sent when the session closes (5 minutes after the first save).
So a customer who saves an address, a note, and another address change within 4 minutes triggers one email with a combined diff — not three.
What the email looks like
The merchant email is intentionally simple:
- Subject — Order #1042 was edited by your customer / Order #1042 was cancelled.
- Header — store name + order number.
- Summary — "Address changed, note updated", etc.
- Before / after diff — only the fields that changed.
- One CTA — View order in Shopify.
We removed the secondary CTAs, footer fluff, and "No action required" banner from older versions. If you have feedback on the template, let us know.
Where the email goes
The store's support email in Shopify (Settings → General). You cannot change the recipient inside our app — change it in Shopify and we pick it up.
