Is the app free?
Yes — Avada Order Editing is free during MVP. Pricing tiers will roll out post-launch and existing free-plan installs are grandfathered for at least 90 days with notice.
Does this work on the legacy customer accounts?
Yes. The app block sits on the Order Status Page which exists in both classic and the new customer accounts. We render whichever Shopify is currently using.
Can a customer change country in the address?
No. Country change recalculates shipping zones, taxes, and duties — too easy to break the order. Customers can change every field except country.
What happens if the customer hits the time window mid-edit?
If the order is now past the time window when they hit Save, the save is rejected with a friendly message. The customer's typed values are not lost in the form, but they cannot persist them.
Can I edit my own emails / templates?
MVP uses fixed templates. Custom templates are on the roadmap.
Does the widget slow down my Order Status Page?
The block is lazy-loaded — only when the page is visible. Lighthouse perf score on a typical OSP is unchanged within ±2 points.
Is this GDPR compliant?
Yes. We respond to Shopify's three GDPR webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact. Data is purged within 48 hours of uninstall. See the Privacy Policy.
What if the customer's order is paid with a gift card?
Refunds on cancel return funds the same way Shopify splits them — gift card portion to the gift card, payment-method portion to the original card.
Does Avada Order Editing work with Shopify Flow?
We do not have a first-class Flow trigger yet, but the app sets order tags on edit / cancel (when you turn auto-tag on) — you can drive Flow off those.
Multi-language?
English-only at MVP. i18n is on the roadmap.
