2026-08-07: Editing rules editor, translations, and finer rules
The biggest change since launch. Everything about what customers can change moved out of the Settings page into a full-screen Editing rules editor, opened from its own sidebar item. The Settings page now holds email notifications only.
- Editing rules in three columns: the rule list, the panel you are editing, and a live preview of the customer view. Drag a customer action in the list to change the order customers see the options in.
- Translations. Translate all 189 customer-facing strings of the widget, per store language, grouped into nine sections. Empty fields fall back to English. An Auto translate machine pass is available on request, with Undo until you save.
- Address fields. Choose exactly which address field groups a customer may change. Country stays locked by default.
- Change country. Unlock the country field and customers can change the destination country, with shipping recalculated and the difference charged or refunded automatically. Product tax stays as charged at checkout, a Shopify limit, and destinations in a different currency are hidden from the picker.
- Discount code rules. Limit customers to discounts you pick, and optionally block codes on orders that already have a discount.
- Cancellation reasons. Rewrite the list customers pick from, up to 20 reasons. Other stays pinned last.
- Note length. Set your own character cap on the order note.
- Shipping method shortlist. Limit customers to the delivery methods you allow.
- Shipping refunds. New switch, on by default, deciding whether a downgrade refunds the difference or you keep it.
2026-07-16: Refund destination and store credit
- Choose where refunds go: the original payment method, or store credit that stays in your store. It applies to every refund the app makes, including cancellations.
- Optional expiry on issued credit, plus a Store credit expiring soon customer email to remind them before it lapses.
- Guest orders with no customer account fall back to the original payment method automatically.
2026-07-16: Pay now and email notifications
- Pay now on the order page. When an edit makes an order more expensive, the customer gets a Pay now button that goes straight to Shopify's payment page, instead of only an emailed link. The card stays visible until the balance is paid.
- Email notifications rebuild. A full set of branded emails for customers and staff, each with its own toggle, a Customize editor, and a live preview. Turning one on suppresses Shopify's matching default email. The staff recipients list holds up to three addresses.
2026-07-15: Analytics page
- New Analytics page with five KPIs, total edits, cancellations, support cost saved, added revenue, and refund value processed, plus a Changes-by-type chart, filterable by date range.
2026-07-13: Change shipping method
- Customers can switch to another delivery method after checkout. A cheaper method refunds the difference automatically, a pricier one sends a payment request.
2026-07-01: Apply discount code
- Customers can apply a valid discount code to an order they already placed, and the savings are refunded automatically. It only ever reduces the total.
2026-06-17: Go live (v1.0)
The first public version:
- Customer-facing inline editing on the Thank you and Order status pages: edit shipping address, edit items (change variant, change quantity, add product, remove product), add an order note, and cancel with automatic refund and restock.
- Merchant dashboard with metrics and a Quickstart checklist.
- Activity page logging every customer change.
- Settings: allowed edit types, edit time window, max edits per order.
- GDPR compliance webhooks.
