Install the App
Luna Order Editing installs in the same way as any other Shopify app.
Steps
- Open the Luna Order Editing listing (opens in a new tab) on the Shopify App Store.
- Click Install app.
- Shopify shows an access request screen with the permissions the app needs. Click Install app again to confirm.
- Shopify redirects you back to your admin and the app opens on the Home dashboard.
Permissions the app requests

| Customers | Identify the customer requesting the edit, and issue store credit to their account |
| Products | Show the product picker and validate stock when customers add or swap items |
| Discounts and draft orders | Validate discount codes and recalculate the order total |
| Shipping | Fetch the delivery methods available for the order's address |
| Store credit | Issue store credit when you choose it as the refund destination |
| Locales and translations | Show your store languages in the Translations panel |
| Checkout | Render the Edit your order block on the Thank you and Order status pages |
What happens on first launch
On first launch, the app creates safe defaults so nothing is empty:
- Customer actions: Edit shipping address, Edit order note, and Cancel order are on. Edit items, Apply discount code, and Change shipping method start off.
- Address fields: everything editable except country or region, which is locked.
- Edit time window: off, so customers can edit until the order is fulfilled.
- Max edits per order: off, meaning unlimited.
- Refund destination: original payment method.
- Emails: all seven start off. Turn on the ones you want in Email notifications.
- Quickstart card on the dashboard with two steps to finish setup.

Uninstalling
Go to your Shopify admin, Apps, find Luna Order Editing, then click Delete. We purge your store data on Shopify's required GDPR schedule. See the Privacy Policy for details.
