Payment Schedule

Payment Schedule controls two things:

  1. The minimum amount an affiliate's balance must reach before you can pay them.
  2. The reminder schedule — an email sent to you when it is time to run payouts.

The app does not automatically send money. These settings only control when reminders go out; the actual payout flow is always manual (see Mark as Paid).

Where to set it

Settings page → Payment schedule card.

Minimum payout amount

  • Default: $50 (or equivalent in your shop's currency).
  • Range: $1 – $10,000.

If an affiliate's unpaid balance is below this threshold, they cannot be paid out in the current cycle. Their balance rolls to the next cycle.

Why have a minimum? Most merchants do not want to pay $0.50 payouts — fees alone would eat more than the commission. A minimum bundles small amounts into one bigger, more efficient payout.

Pick a number that covers your payment fees plus a little. For PayPal-fee economics, $25–$100 is common.

Payment frequency

How often the app emails you a reminder to run payouts. Two options:

FrequencyReminder sent
Weekly (every week)Once a week on the day-of-week and time you pick
Monthly (every month)Once a month on the day-of-month and time you pick

Default = Monthly, on the 1st at 09:00 in your shop's timezone (configurable below the dropdown — Payout day and time).

Biweekly is not an option today. If you need a 14-day cadence, set Weekly and ignore every other reminder.

The reminder email is titled "It is time to pay your affiliates" and includes:

  • Total unpaid balance across all affiliates.
  • Number of affiliates eligible to pay (unpaid ≥ minimum).
  • A link straight to your Pending Payouts tab.

Affiliates do not receive a reminder — only you.

Affiliates near the threshold

Affiliates below minimum also get a courtesy email: "You are $X away from your next payout". This motivates them to keep referring. You can disable this in Email Notifications.

Changing the schedule mid-cycle

Changing frequency affects the next scheduled reminder. Example:

  • Today is the 15th. Your schedule is Monthly, so the next reminder would be the 1st of next month.
  • You change to Weekly.
  • The next reminder is next Monday. The old monthly schedule is dropped.

Custom schedules

Only the two built-in options (Weekly / Monthly) are available. If you need a custom schedule (e.g. every 45 days), you can:

  • Set a reminder in your calendar manually.
  • Ignore the app's reminder and run payouts whenever you want.

The minimum amount setting still applies regardless of reminder frequency.

Timezone

Reminders are sent in your Shopify shop's timezone (Settings → General in Shopify Admin). If you are in a different timezone to your business, update Shopify first.
